Villages of Korosten district

There are a little more than 100 villages in the Korosten district. Settlements of the district differ in terms of population. The largest villages are Horshchik (2,240 people), Grozyno (1,230 people), Gulyanka (1,160 people), Ushomyr (1,100 people), Mykhailivka (1,070 people), Vaskovichi (970 people), Meleni (900 people). At the same time, there are settlements where the number of inhabitants is no more than 50 people. As of January 1, 2010, not a single resident remained in Bulakhivka, 1 person lived in Oleksandrivka, 14 in Zarubinka, 17 in Voynarivka, 18 each in Velena and Moshkivka, 21 in Zhupanivka, 25 in Rudna-Baranivska, and 25 in Pisky. 28, in Krasnosilka – 30. Analysis of the population of Korosten district of the village shows that the number of the most populated villages is decreasing and the total number of sparsely populated villages is increasing sharply. It is expected that in the coming years, about 20 more villages will enter the category of settlements of the Korosten district, where no more than 100 inhabitants will live.
